BODY BENEFITS

You’ve probably noticed that Combat Athletes are not only in-shape, but also have amazing, well-sculpted bodies with chiseled abs and toned muscles. The benefits of training like a fighter is self-evident, and you don’t have to fight to get a combat-fit body. We’ll introduce you to your toughest training partner that won’t hit back – Your heavybag!

Strike-Resistance Intervals VS Traditional Cardio Kickboxing – Cardio kickboxing is a nice workout, but if you want to take it to the next level, you want to strike a target (not just punch the air)! When you add the heavy bag target, the benefit you will gain will be instantly felt – and you’ll be hooked! You will challenge yourself when you can “feel” your strikes land. When you’re really ‘on’, you’ll know it from the instant feedback you get from hearing the “SNAP!” from the bag! When you punch and kick the bag, your muscles will be forged like steel from the resistance that comes with striking the bag.

1. Your Core and Abs – A common misconception about boxing and kickboxing is that it only benefits your arms and legs. Actually, it is probably the one workout that really relies on your entire body and core. When you throw a punch, you engage your core to rotate from your hips, sculpting your body to the core. When you throw a kick, your body rotates from your hips coordinating the power from your legs, arms, and abs to deliver power to the bag. The power for all strikes starts by harnessing the power from the earth, through your legs, core, abs, shoulders, and arms – All coordinated with speed and timing.

2. Your Arms and Shoulders –Probably the most obvious benefits of throwing jabs, straight punches, hooks, and uppercuts is the sculpting your arms and shoulders. The more effort, intensity, and speed that you deliver your punches, the greater the muscular workout you’ll get.

3. Your Legs and Lower Body – Sculpted legs with gorgeous calves, glutes (your booty), and quads come from the power-generating footwork and delivery of kicks and punches. When you hear a trainer talking about “Getting on your bicycle”, they are talking about using your footwork, not being flat-footed, and moving your body by being quick on your feet. This elegant footwork leads to strong, beautifully sculpted legs. Not bulky, muscular legs, but strong, lean legs with speed-muscles. The stronger and leaner your legs, the more powerful your punches and kicks will be.

4. Cardio, Heart, Lungs – The hallmark of a combat-fit athlete is ultimate endurance. The beauty of the combat-inspired athlete is that you train for different levels of endurance. You will train in cardio, anaerobic, and high-intensity intervals which delivers maximum fat burn and endurance. The more you gain intensity in your workout, the more you will boost your cardio benefit, along with your strength and capacity of your heart and lungs.

5. More Added Benefits – Include coordination, balance, timing, flexibility, stress-relief, joint-strength and resiliency, back strength, bone-density strength, and more. Rhythm and movement are another byproduct of cross-combat training.

By now, you see why Cross-Combat Power Rounds featuring SRI™ Strike-Resistance Interval Training is so effective…but most importantly…
IT’S INFECTIOUSLY FUN! After every session, you’ll Feel Combat Euphoria!

WESTERN BOXING
 — Nicknamed “the sweet science” is a martial art combat sport that was first recognized by the Greeks as an Olympic sport in 688 BC. In 2004, ESPN called Boxing “The most difficult sport in the world”, due to the challenging nature of the contest, along with the strenuous training regimen that is required of the athletes. You’re not just working out, you’re also learning a challenging new skill.

MUAY THAI BOXING
The most popular form of Kickboxing today comes from Thailand and dates back to the 16th century. It is also known as “The Art of Eight Limbs” because athletes strike with fists, legs, elbows, and knees. Pure Muay Thai competition has flourished throughout the ages and is now becoming a worldwide phenomenon. Watch out for the Muay Thai explosion! This discipline takes your Cross-Combat workout to another level. You’ll know what I mean when you do the killer kick ladders.

KARATE AND KICKBOXING—
Kickboxing is a sport of kicking and puching that has roots in Karate, Muay Thai, and Western Boxing. Japanese kickboxing developed in the 1960’s and became popular in America through the 1970’s and 80’s. In the 1990’s, Kickboxing paved the way towards what has become today’s MMA or Mixed Martial Arts.

MIXED MARTIAL ARTS
Born in 1993 more as a spectacle than a sport, Mixed Martial Arts or MMA has had a storied history. Its’ founders were highly criticized as creating a human dogfight because of the early lack of any rules. Their purposeful promotion of UFC as a bloodsport was a double-edged sword. It rose and fell quickly, until its current owners bought the company and wisely established rules and garnered respect as a sport. Now recognized as the toughest sport in the world, MMA incorporates striking with the takedowns of wrestling, and the grappling of Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. By the nature of these varied disciplines, athletes must be in fantastic shape, which has led to some of the amazing training regimens that are incorporated in Cross-Combat
